Curriculum

At Freeling Primary School we follow the Australian Curriculum in all subject areas. We have specialist teachers for performing arts, physical education and Japanese.

Our site priorities are writing, reading and maths. Our site improvement plan is available to download in the 'reporting and policies' section of the website.

For students requiring additional support in reading, we have three formal intervention programs; pre-lit, mini-lit and macqlit. Our year 6 students can volunteer as "buddy readers" to listen to selected year 1 students practice reading each morning.

Students requiring additional support in maths may be invited to access one of the maths intervention programs; Quicksmart for students in upper primary and Big Ideas intervention for all primary students..

We have a school maths website, which has teaching resources. Families are welcome to access this site: http://fpsnumeracy.edublogs.org
