At Freeling Primary School, we are committed to offering a comprehensive and effective curriculum aligned to the Australian Curriculum.
Current enrolment as at May 2021 is 320 students in the school and 36 students in the preschool. There are twelve classes from Reception to Year 7 and two groups in the preschool. Our staff comprises a Principal, Deputy Principal, Wellbeing Co-ordinator, Literacy Co-ordinator as well as Teachers, Support Staff, and a Groundsperson.
The school offers extra curricula programs for all students including Senior and Junior Choir and a variety of SAPSASA sporting opportunities.
In 2017 part of the main building was refurbished as a dedicated STEM learning space (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Every classroom has an Interactive TV, classroom computers, access to Laptops and iPads.
A new preschool was also opened on site in 2017. Children currently attend preschool 5 days each fortnight, from 9am to 3pm. Children are allocated to the Monday, Tuesday, alternate Wednesday group, or the alternate Wednesday, Thursday, Friday group. Parent requests are considered when allocating children to preschool groups.
